The producer

El Oso returns for its fifth year, now as a stunning Geisha lot, produced in partnership with Cooperativa Agraria Frontera San Ignacio (COOPAFSI) and specialty importer D.R. Wakefield.

The El Oso project goes beyond coffee. It protects forests, safeguards local wildlife, and champions long-term sustainability. Nestled in the heart of Peru, it’s home to the spectacled bear, the very inspiration for this coffee’s name.

With its own dry mill, COOPAFSI processes locally, keeping more value in the hands of its members. Ongoing training and meticulous annual reporting ensures every cup reflects care, quality, and a commitment to the environment.

This washed geisha unfolds with clarity and elegance.  Delicate florals, wild strawberry, and marshmallow sweetness give way to redcurrant, raspberry, and guava, finishing with a gentle honeyed note.
