Angel Filter - El Oso, Peru
A vibrant and complex Peruvian coffee, which defies what you might expect from the origin, full of red apple, persimmon and stone fruit. The acidity is subtle and sparkling.

We’re excited to welcome back El Oso, now in its fifth year with us!
Named after Peru’s endangered Spectacled Bear, El Oso is more than a great cup of coffee. By purchasing this bag, you help support conservation in northern Peru, protecting forests and wildlife around the Tabaconas Namballe sanctuary. Working with the Agraria Frontera San Ignacio cooperative and importer D.R. Wakefield, the project also supports organic farming, reforestation and farmer education, helping both the land and the people who care for it.
The coffee itself starts with ripe red cherries, carefully picked and floated to remove any defects. After 18–36 hours of fermentation, they’re washed and dried for 10–21 days. The result is a beautifully balanced cup with notes of crisp red apple, creamy cashew and sweet crème brûlée.
