The producer

We’re excited to present the latest harvest of El Oso, now in its fourth year with us. Named after the endangered Spectacled Bear, this coffee supports a conservation project in northern Peru, protecting forests and wildlife around the Tabaconas Namballe sanctuary, where farming and fragile ecosystems intersect.

The El Oso project, in partnership with the Agraria Frontera San Ignacio cooperative and importer D.R. Wakefield, focuses on organic farming, reforestation, and farmer education to provide both environmental and economic benefits.

Despite this year’s shorter harvest due to extreme weather, we’re pleased to have secured more of this exceptional lot, knowing how important it is to support the cooperative’s work.
