The producer

Not only is this coffee intensely aromatic and flavourful, but it impacts lives too. El Oso is one of the projects started between D.R Wakefield (our importer), and the farm cooperative 'Agraria Frontera San Igancio' from Peru, to secure both economic and environmental sustainability. The prior is achieved by developing and growing exceptional micro-lots like this one in order to assist the farmers in collecting higher prices for their coffee, and use this increased capital to further improve their operations with true sustainability. The latter is done through conservational support, in this case, the protection and breeding of endangered animals such as the Spectacled Bear, which is where this coffee got its name.
